His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the UAE, recently wrapped up his official visit to Kuwait, where he headed a prominent UAE delegation. At the Emiri Airport, he was bid farewell by His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence, and Minister of Interior of Kuwait.
Reception by Kuwaiti leadership
During his visit, His Highness Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Emir of Kuwait, welcomed Sheikh Hamdan. The Crown Prince of Dubai held discussions with His Highness Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; His Highness Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait; and His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah. The talks were aimed at enhancing the bilateral relationship between the UAE and Kuwait, highlighting the strong, brotherly connections and strategic partnership that unite the two countries.
Focus on bilateral relations
The discussions also highlighted the significant advancements in cooperation, bolstered by the leadership of both nations. Furthermore, they explored ways to strengthen the strategic partnership and broaden collaboration across essential sectors, with the goal of promoting comprehensive development in both the UAE and Kuwait while supporting joint Gulf initiatives.
Visit to Al Salam Palace Museum
During his time in Kuwait, Sheikh Hamdan visited the Al Salam Palace Museum. Accompanied by His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah, he toured the museum’s halls and received insights into the archaeological and national significance of this cultural landmark, along with its historical importance and the invaluable collections it houses. His Highness and his delegation learned about the three main areas of the museum: the Museum of the History of Kuwait (Through its Rulers), the Museum of the History of the Al Salam Palace, and the Museum of Civilizations that have existed in Kuwait.

The Al Salam Palace Museum, also referred to as the Peace Palace Museum, is Kuwait’s official museum. Originally built as a presidential palace in the late 1950s, it has since been transformed into a cultural institution that showcases Kuwait’s rich history and heritage.
