Sheikh Khaled visits 6th Abu Dhabi International Boat Show

His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, visited the 6th edition of the Abu Dhabi International Boat Show, held at Marina Hall, ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, from November 21 to 24.

During the visit, Sheikh Khaled toured the exhibition, exploring several local and international pavilions. He was briefed by pavilion representatives about their latest products and innovations in the fields of boat and yacht manufacturing, as well as the advanced technologies used in fishing equipment and water sports.

Sheikh Khaled was accompanied by Mohamed Khalifa Al Mubarak, chairman of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi; Mohamed Ali Al Shorafa, chairman of the Department of Municipalities and Transport; Saif Saeed Ghobash, secretary general of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council; and Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri, managing director and group CEO of ADNEC.

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show serves as a global platform for exchanging knowledge, expertise, and experience, fostering strategic partnerships in the boat and yacht manufacturing industries, as well as fishing and water sports sectors.

Growing participation

This year, the exhibition space has expanded by 15 percent compared to last year, reaching 75,000 square metres. The number of exhibitors and brands has grown by 14 percent to 813, compared to 711 in the previous edition.

The number of boats on display has surged by 66 percent, with 175 boats showcased compared to 105 in 2023. Additionally, the number of marina boats has increased by 127 percent to 125, with a 50 percent rise in boats exceeding 15 metres in length.

A total of 56 countries are participating in the show, including six making their debut: Luxembourg, Greece, Sweden, Egypt, Bahrain, and Russia — a 19 percent increase from the 47 countries in last year’s edition.

The event also offers a diverse lineup of entertainment and unique initiatives, including daily Wave Parades, cultural and artistic performances such as the traditional Al Ayala dance, Emirati bands, drum shows, and over 1,000 family-oriented activities.

Visitors can also enjoy children’s entertainment, firework displays, aerial acrobatics, and free boat tours for both local and international attendees.

The Abu Dhabi International Boat Show serves as a leading platform to support innovation in the marine industry while promoting sustainability and the protection of marine environments.
