His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, has announced the appointment of a new acting director-general for the Dubai Municipality (DM). Marwan bin Ghalita will take on this role while continuing with his existing responsibilities.
H.H Sheikh Mohammed expressed in a tweet gratitude to Dawood Abdulrahman AlHajri for his “efforts, work, and dedication during his tenure at Dubai Municipality.” AlHajri has served as the director-general of DM since 2018.

The Dubai Ruler also acknowledged Mattar Al Tayer, who has overseen several government institutions in Dubai over the years. Al Tayer has previously held leadership roles in various government entities, including the DM and the Dubai Land Department.
“Today, these institutions are embarking on a new phase in their service and economic endeavors, continuing their mission to make Dubai the best city in the world to live in,” Sheikh Mohammed remarked.
