In his role as the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, has announced Decree No. (53) of 2024 regarding the Board of Directors of the Dubai Academic Health Corporation (Dubai Health). This board will be chaired by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum.

According to the Decree, Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will take on the role of Vice Chairman. The Board will also include: Dr. Raja Easa Al Gurg; Abdulla Abdul Rahman Al Shaibani; Professor Ian Andrew Greer; Mohammed Hassan Al Shehhi; and Waleed Saeed Al Awadhi, along with the CEO of Dubai Health and a delegate from the Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences.

This Decree will take effect immediately upon its issuance and will be published in the Official Gazette, Dubai Media Office reported.

On Tuesday, Sheikh Mohammed issued Decree No. (49) of 2024. This decree regulates the appointment of employees from the Dubai Government to serve as members of Dubai’s judicial authorities.

The Decree, Dubai Media Office reported, seeks to attract national talent for positions within Dubai’s judicial system, while ensuring that employees retain their legal status, rights, and financial benefits during their training at the Dubai Judicial Institute.

Moreover, the training includes the Judicial and Legal Studies Program for judges and the Diploma in Legal and Judicial Sciences for Public Prosecutors. Additionally, the Decree allows employees to keep their roles within their respective government entities throughout their training.
