In a significant step towards advancing the region’s digital landscape, stc Group and Ooredoo Group have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a strategic collaboration that seeks to enhance the ICT ecosystem and expand digital services and connectivity across the broader MENA region.

By combining the strengths of both companies, this collaboration will meet the growing global demand and support the region’s rapidly evolving digital landscape.

For his part, Ooredoo Group chief business services officer Najib Khan commented: “We are excited to join forces with stc Group on this visionary strategic collaboration. Growing regional demand propels advancement

stc and Ooredoo have significantly advanced their capabilities in recent years to keep up with the evolving and growing ICT sector in the region and globally.

As part of its digital transformation journey, Ooredoo recently announced a multi-year partnership with Oracle to transform its database infrastructure and expedite its digital transformation. This collaboration will not only transform service delivery but also position Ooredoo Qatar as a leader in telecommunications innovation.

Meanwhile, stc has made remarkable advancements in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, and sustainable technologies. The group has also expanded its operations in the fintech sector, launching STC Bank. The group’s expansion into the sports sector and major developments across Saudi Arabia have advanced the country’s communications and information technology sector.
