This meeting highlights the growing ties between the UAE and Kazakhstan, focusing on mutual interests and collaborative efforts.

Strengthening bilateral relations

During their discussions at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, both leaders examined the bilateral relations and sought avenues to enhance cooperation for the benefit of their nations and citizens. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed expressed gratitude to President Tokayev for attending Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, emphasizing the shared dedication of both countries to sustainability and collaboration within this crucial area.

Commitment to sustainability

The dialogue also touched on the themes of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, recognized as a dynamic global platform for sharing ideas, initiatives, and expertise aimed at promoting sustainability for communities worldwide. His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed affirmed the significance of the evolving UAE-Kazakhstan relationship, which has its roots in 1993. He reiterated the UAE’s commitment to seizing opportunities to bolster collaboration with Kazakhstan across various sectors, including renewable energy, trade, economy, investment, agriculture, and space exploration.

Multilateral cooperation

The relationship between the UAE and Kazakhstan is further strengthened by their mutual dedication to international cooperation for collective benefit. His Highness highlighted their collaboration through the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation, where the UAE is a Dialogue Partner. This engagement underscores the importance of working together to tackle shared challenges.

For his part, His Excellency President Tokayev expressed gratitude for the warm reception provided by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. He reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with the UAE to support the shared developmental objectives of both nations. President Tokayev commended Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week for its pivotal role in raising global consciousness regarding sustainability issues, safeguarding the interests of future generations.

The meeting was attended by notable figures, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court; H.H. Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and National Security Adviser; and various ministers and officials. Earlier on Monday, President Tokayev arrived in the UAE, where he was received at the Presidential Airport in Abu Dhabi by His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan and senior officials, marking a significant moment in UAE-Kazakhstan relations.
