The Central Bank of the UAE (CBUAE) and Dubai Courts have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to link electronic services related to the execution of judgments, orders and decisions issued by Dubai Courts through the central bank’s court cases management system.
Khaled Mohamed Balama, CBUAE governor, and Prof. Saif Ghanem Al Suwaidi, director-general of Dubai Courts, signed the agreement at the CBUAE headquarters in Abu Dhabi in the presence of senior officials from both bodies.
Eliminating government bureaucracy
“The MoU comes from the central bank’s keenness to implement the leadership vision of promoting digital transformation strategy, activating mechanisms of integration and partnership, and sharing expertise with all federal and local authorities. This will enhance the country’s competitiveness globally and support sustainable growth,” stated Balama.
The CBUAE and Dubai Courts agreement facilitates the implementation of the zero government bureaucracy program. This program aims to improve service efficiency, quality and effectiveness of government bodies. Moreover, it contributes to the execution of the UAE’s digital strategy related to services provided to all individuals and businesses.

Establish effective management mechanisms
The CBUAE and Dubai Courts agreement also aims to promote collaboration in various fields and establish effective mechanisms, including electronic connectivity. This expedites and activates the execution of the Dubai Courts’ judgments, orders and decisions.
“This initiative paves the way for a new phase of excellence in achieving the objectives of electronic linkage, aligning with the joint efforts to advance the smart transformation journey and build the world’s smartest and happiest city,” noted Al Suwaidi.
Al Suwaidi added that this step will bolster Dubai Courts’ efforts to ensure swift and precise justice. Moreover, it will facilitate delivering exceptional judicial services that guarantee customer satisfaction and uphold the values of justice, independence, and transparency.
