The UAE has maintained its commitment to humanitarian aid for Lebanon by sending three additional aircraft loaded with essential relief supplies, including medical and food items, ambulances, and shelter materials. To date, the UAE has dispatched a total of 12 planes carrying 515 tons of aid.
This initiative is part of a two-week national relief campaign titled “The UAE Stands with Lebanon,” which commenced on October 8 in collaboration with key international organizations, such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).

Coordinating authorities
The campaign was launched under the guidance of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, with oversight from His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, along with H.H. Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Court for Development and Fallen Heroes’ Affairs, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian and Philanthropic Council.
Continued humanitarian efforts
Moreover, as the UAE continues its humanitarian airlift, it has dispatched three more planes carrying 120 tons of aid for Lebanon and Lebanese refugees in Syria. Sultan Mohammed Al Shamsi, assistant minister of Foreign Affairs for Development and International Organizations, highlighted that this ongoing flow of assistance reflects the nation’s humanitarian dedication. He noted the UAE’s global responsibility to support communities during times of crisis and to swiftly alleviate their suffering.
Al Shamsi also noted that the UAE has consistently been a global leader in humanitarian efforts, assisting communities facing disasters and conflicts in regaining security and stability.
