If you are one of those tourists who regularly come to the UAE, or if you have friends and family living here whom you often visit, a five-year multiple-entry tourist visa is perfect for you.

The five-year multi-entry tourist visa permits a visitor to stay in the UAE for a period not exceeding 90 days per visit.

What are the requirements?

According to the ICP website, the following requirements need to be fulfilled to get this visa:

  • A colored, stamped and signed bank statement needs to be submitted as an official document. It should show a minimum monthly balance of $4,000 over the last six months
  • Health insurance should be issued from the United Arab Emirates and must have a duration of 180 days.
  • The validity of this visa is two months from the date of issuance, which means the first entry to the country must occur within two months from the visa issuance date
  • Starting from the date of first entry, the visitor must leave the country before one year passes and re-enter again to avoid fines
  • The duration of stay can be extended for an equal period, provided that the total duration of stay does not exceed 180 days per year
  • A family visa application can be submitted in case there are children under the age of 18
  • 90 days will be counted in each year starting from the date of visa issuance, not based on the calendar year
  • The five-year visa is a multiple-entry visa, which means multiple entries are allowed as long as the stay in the country does not exceed 90 days
  • If the stay within the country does not reach 90 days, the remaining days will not be carried over to the new year
  • The visa becomes invalid and will be executed against the financial guarantee if the holder violates the specified duration of stay within the country
