The UAE adjusts fuel prices monthly in line with global oil market fluctuations. The country deregulated petrol prices in 2015, linking them to international benchmarks.
The Ministry of Energy determines the approved fuel prices each month based on the average global oil price, whether it rises or falls, after factoring in the operating costs of distribution companies.
