Amid a global surge in crude, the UAE has raised the domestic fuel prices for the month of June. The price of petrol has been hiked sharply by more than 13 percent, a rate card issued by the Emirati government shows.
Super 98 petrol will cost 4.15 dirhams a liter, up 13.4 percent from last month’s 3.66 dirhams a liter.
Special 95 will cost 4.03 dirhams per liter this month, a 13.52 percent surge from last month’s price of 3.55 dirhams.
Meanwhile, the price of diesel has been raised 1.47 percent from 4.08 dirhams in May to 4.14 dirhams per liter.
The price for E-Plus 91 has surged to 3.96 dirhams in June from 3.48 dirhams in May.
Petrol prices in the UAE jumped over 56 percent since January 2022 due to an increase in global crude oil prices, especially after the Russia-Ukraine war in February.
