The UAE’s Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs, and Port Security (ICP) has invited investors, entrepreneurs, skilled professionals and business financiers worldwide to take advantage of the numerous benefits of the Business Opportunities Visa.

This visa allows visitors to explore business opportunities and grants the holders permission to travel to the country for either a single visit or multiple visits, based on the approved requirements and eligible professions. The total stay must not exceed 180 days.

Visa requirements

To apply for the Business Opportunities Visa, visitors must meet four conditions. First and foremost, the applicant must be a qualified professional in the field they wish to explore in the UAE. Additionally, they must hold a passport valid for more than six months, have health insurance coverage within the UAE, and possess a confirmed ticket for onward travel or departure from the country.

Major General Suhail Saeed Al Khaili, director general of the ICP, emphasized that the UAE has established a comprehensive service ecosystem to attract entrepreneurs, investors and capital owners looking to build their future and launch innovative strategic projects that contribute to the country’s economic growth.

He noted that the UAE offers world-class infrastructure, legal frameworks and competitive logistical services that enable business success and expansion. He added that the Business Opportunities Visa serves as a key incentive for attracting investors, providing the flexibility of single or multiple entries with validity options of 60, 90 or 120 days, ensuring that the total stay does not exceed 180 days.

UAE entrepreneur visas

Once investors and entrepreneurs identify the UAE as the ideal location for their business, transitioning from exploration to establishment involves obtaining an entrepreneur visa. The UAE offers two primary categories of entrepreneur visas: the Green visa and the long-term investor visa.

These visas present significant opportunities for international startups looking to establish themselves in this dynamic business market.

For example, the Green Visa offers a five-year residency for investors, business partners, skilled employees, freelancers and self-employed individuals to develop and grow their businesses. The UAE also offers individuals a Golden Visa which is aimed at attracting foreign investment. This visa offers a ten-year residency and additional benefits to support sustained business growth.
