The UAE government has launched an expanded Phase 2 of its Work Bundle initiative. This new phase features the unified digital platform http://workinuae.ae, that provides essential employment and residency services for private sector companies and individuals across all emirates. Through a single, consolidated application form, users can access services involving multiple government entities. This aligns with the UAE’s broader Zero Government Bureaucracy Programme, which aims to streamline and simplify administrative processes.
“Procedures that took 20 to 30 days can now be completed within five days through the new platform,” said Khalil Ibrahim Khoori, undersecretary for Human Resources Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization.
Additionally, the Work Bundle platform consolidates processes from multiple government departments into a single online portal. Companies can now submit requests and upload necessary documents through a unified system, rather than navigating separate bureaucracies.

“Before this service, multiple documents had to be submitted to different departments. Now, all necessary information is accessible through a single platform,” Khoori explained.
The new system also reduces the number of required steps from 15 down to 5, and the number of documents from 16 to 5. This is expected to benefit over 600,000 businesses employing more than 7 million workers across the UAE.
Government efficiency drive
Furthermore, the Work Bundle initiative is part of a broader government efficiency drive announced by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, the Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. In February, Sheikh Mohammed set a goal of eliminating 2,000 unnecessary bureaucratic procedures within a year under the “Zero Government Bureaucracy” program.
Additionally, the aim is to “facilitate people’s lives, provide people with the comfort and service they deserve in the UAE, and aim to be the best government in the world in providing services,” according to Sheikh Mohammed.
