The UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure represented by the Sheikh Zayed Housing Program, has given its approval on the occasion of the Holy Month of Ramadan for 460 housing aids to be provided to citizens, amounting to approximately AED350 million ($95.29 million). These aids encompass grants, loans, and government housing.

In line with the directives of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in June 2022, to fulfill all housing grant applications from previous years through His Highness’s initiatives at a cost of AED2.3 billion, the ministry has endorsed the names of 188 eligible citizens to receive housing grants totaling AED128.5 million roughly ($35 million).

Furthermore, as part of the housing policy action plan for 2024, which aims to issue 3,000 decisions during the current year, 250 citizens will benefit from housing loans through collaboration with banks and financial institutions, amounting to AED197.5 million. Additionally, the ministry has approved 22 housing assistance decisions that combine loans and government housing grants.

Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, UAE minister of Energy and Infrastructure, emphasized that this comprehensive housing aid package reflects the ministry’s commitment to improving the stability and quality of life for citizens. This commitment is a part of ongoing endeavors to enhance social welfare and support citizens, aligning with the leadership’s vision of providing a dignified and stable life for all, he added.

The Minister further stated, “We aim to enhance housing leadership through integrated national strategies aimed at developing the housing sector across the country, serving citizens and maintaining the sustainability of stability and prosperity.

Moreover, he added, “We have clear plans for the next 50 years, focused on facilitating human life and enhancing quality of life.”
