UAE, Sweden to strengthen bilateral ties through cooperation in AI and renewable energy

Dr. Ali Rashid Al Nuaimi, chairman of the Committee on Defence, Interior, and Foreign Affairs in the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Fredrik Floren, ambassador of Sweden to the UAE, to explore ways to enhance bilateral and parliamentary cooperation between their countries.

This meeting took place today in Abu Dhabi and was attended by Sheikha Saeed Al Kaabi, FNC member. The discussions highlighted the increasing importance of parliamentary diplomacy in supporting the UAE’s national strategies and strengthening global partnerships.

During the meeting, key topics included the prospects for collaboration in advanced technology, artificial intelligence, investment in startups, and renewable energy. In addition, Ambassador Floren expressed Sweden’s strong interest in expanding cooperation with the UAE across various sectors. He commended the UAE’s open policy and its success in forging strategic partnerships both regionally and internationally.
