The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today the cancellation of the travel ban for UAE citizens to Lebanon, allowing them to travel there, effective May 7, 2025. The decision came in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, following the Lebanese President’s visit to the UAE.
During the meeting, both presidents agreed to allow citizens to travel after taking the necessary measures to facilitate movement between the two countries and establishing appropriate mechanisms to ensure this.
UAE citizens must register in the “Twajudi” service before traveling to ensure effective communication, whether traveling directly through UAE airports or from any other country in the world. The Ministry noted that registration in the “Twajudi” service is mandatory, and individuals must inform the relevant authorities upon their return through the service too.
UAE citizens wishing to travel are prohibited from leaving the country’s ports before completing their registration, to avoid suspension of travel procedures and legal accountability.

In the announcement, the ministry also urged citizens to complete all required information, specify their place of residence in Lebanon, update their information if it changes, and specify emergency contact numbers and the reasons for their visit. Moreover, it emphasizes that failure to register or update their place of residence exposes them to legal accountability.
The UAE’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs also emphasizes the importance of adhering to these procedures to ensure the safety and security of citizens.
