Five tourist information centers have opened in Moscow, enhancing support for Arabic-speaking travelers.

Russia’s Moscow has seen a notable increase in tourists from the UAE, with 62,100 visitors in 2024 compared to just 18,000 in 2019, as affirmed by Evgeny Kozlov, chairman of the Moscow City Tourism Committee.

In remarks to the Emirates News Agency (WAM), Kozlov emphasized the diverse tourism offerings in the Russian capital, particularly those designed for Gulf region visitors.

He noted that the city boasts numerous halal restaurants and offers Arabic-speaking services to enhance the experience for Gulf travelers. For instance, five tourist information centers have been established in key locations, including the city center, river stations, and the Dream Island amusement park.

Specialists at these information centers provide assistance in both English and Arabic. A new Tourist Information Centre, featuring Sber’s banking services, has also opened, allowing travelers to obtain a Tourist card and additional support.

For 2024, a Muslim-Friendly Guide to Moscow has been prepared for visitors from the Middle East, highlighting recommended restaurants, hotels, seasonal activities, attractions, parks, and shopping destinations.

Kozlov further noted the introduction of electronic visas (e-visas), which simplify the entry process for many nationalities, making travel to Moscow more accessible.

He also pointed out that Moscow offers a rich array of cultural, fashion, and culinary experiences, along with year-round entertainment and international events.
