The UAE has revealed the petrol prices for April 2025. After a price increase in February, petrol rates saw a slight decrease in March.
Effective April 1, the new prices are as follows:
- Super 98 petrol: AED2.57 per liter.
- Special 95 petrol: AED2.46 per liter.
- E-Plus 91 petrol: AED2.38 per liter.
- Diesel: AED2.63 per liter.

In March 2025, Super 98 petrol cost AED2.73 per liter, compared to AED2.74 a liter in February, while Special 95 cost AED2.61 a liter, compared to AED2.63 a liter the previous month. E-Plus category petrol was available for AED2.54 a liter, compared to AED2.55 a liter in February. Diesel cost AED2.77 a liter, compared to AED2.82 a liter the previous month.
Since the UAE deregulated petrol prices in 2015 and aligned them with global rates, the rates are revised at the end of every month.
Petrol costs by vehicle type
In April, the cost of filling a full tank of petrol varies depending on the type of vehicle you drive, with prices ranging from AED7.65 to AED11.84 lower than in March. For compact cars, which have an average petrol tank capacity of 51 liters, the cost for a full tank is as follows: Super 98 petrol is AED131.07 (down from AED139.23), Special 95 petrol is AED125.46 (down from AED133.11), and E-plus 91 petrol is AED121.38 (down from AED129.54).
For sedans, with an average capacity of 62 liters, the costs are Super 98 petrol at AED159.34 (down from AED169.26), Special 95 petrol at AED152.52 (down from AED161.82), and E-plus 91 petrol at AED147.56 (down from AED157.48).
Moreover, for SUVs, which have an average tank capacity of 74 liters, the prices are Super 98 petrol at AED190.18 (down from AED202.02), Special 95 petrol at AED182.04 (down from AED193.14), and E-plus 91 petrol at AED176.12 (down from AED187.96).
