The Dubai government has extended remote operations for a second day on Wednesday on account of bad weather.
In a statement, the Dubai Media Office said that all Dubai government entities will continue to work remotely on Wednesday.
Private schools, too, will conduct remote learning.
The government has also urged private sector institutions to operate remotely on Wednesday.
The announcement follows severe weather conditions all over the country on Tuesday, which resulted in heavy winds and rainfall.
Schools and offices across the UAE operated remotely on Tuesday on account of bad weather.
In Abu Dhabi, distance learning was activated for all schools, while government entities also worked remotely.
In Dubai, following the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of The Executive Council, Tuesday was a remote working day for employees of all Dubai government entities, except for roles that needed on-site presence at the workplace.
Schools, too, conducted remote learning due to weather conditions.
In Sharjah, distance learning was enforced for all private schools and higher education institutions on Tuesday and Wednesday, while all sporting activities and competitions have been called off.
Ajman, too, declared remote learning for private schools on Tuesday and Wednesday. Umm Al Quwain, meanwhile, had declared distance learning on Tuesday.
