UAE’s AI firm G42 to reveal ‘Intelligence Grid’ at GITEX 2024

G42, a prominent technology holding group based in the UAE, has announced its participation in GITEX GLOBAL 2024, scheduled for October 14-18, 2024.

In a recent statement, the company revealed plans to showcase its innovative concept of an “Intelligence Grid,” which aims to establish a new benchmark for scalable AI solutions across essential sectors such as government, healthcare, and energy.

Building on recent strategic alliances with leading US tech companies like NVIDIA, Cerebras, and OpenAI, and having secured a substantial $1.5 billion investment from Microsoft, G42 has reinforced its position as a leader in innovative, safe, and sustainable AI development.

At GITEX, Peng Xiao, G42’s Group CEO, will present and discuss the “Intelligence Grid” during a fireside chat on the Main Stage on Tuesday, October 15.

Vision for the future of AI

Ahead of the event, Faheem Ahamed, group chief marketing and communications officer at G42, expressed the company’s vision of a future where AI is as essential as electricity in daily life, highlighting the aim to weave AI into every aspect of life, offering knowledge and assistance on demand.

Commitment to sustainable AI development

To realize this ambitious vision and support the broader UAE AI Strategy 2031, G42 has further developed a network of leading portfolio companies, each specializing in diverse areas of AI and technology.

Four of these companies will have independent booths at GITEX this year: Space42, Core42, Presight, and Khazna, each contributing unique AI and technology solutions.

Innovations in AI models

In addition, Inception, focused on advanced specialized AI models and applications, including large language models (LLMs), will highlight its contributions to AI-driven innovation across various sectors at the G42 booth.

Dedication to ethical AI

Moreover, Ahamed noted that G42’s dedication to developing safe, responsible, and sustainable AI is evident in every initiative undertaken.

Partnership with Microsoft

A notable example of this commitment is G42’s partnership with Microsoft, which established two Responsible AI centers in Abu Dhabi, aimed at ensuring the ethical use of AI while addressing global challenges.

GITEX as a key event

Regarding GITEX and G42’s involvement, Ahamed remarked on the significance of the event as a key date in their calendar and expressed enthusiasm for using the platform to engage with visitors and industry peers.

Launch of AI research report

Furthermore, in continuation of G42’s research collaborations with institutions like the Mohamed Bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence (MBZUAI) and POLITICO’s Research and Analysis Division, G42 will launch a significant AI research report on October 16 at its booth, examining the transformative impact of AI in sports.
