The Federal Tax Authority (FTA) in the UAE has revealed that its corporate tax awareness initiatives have experienced notable growth in 2024, with 15,713 participants benefiting from its events focused on corporate tax awareness. This increase underscores the Authority’s commitment to educating businesses about their obligations under the UAE’s Corporate Tax Law.
In 2024, FTA recorded participation from individuals attending both in-person events across all emirates and virtual sessions it hosted. This marked a 8.7 percent rise from the 14,455 participants in 2023, highlighting the growing interest and need for corporate tax education among businesses.
New specialized programs launched
To further enhance understanding, FTA introduced a variety of specialized awareness programs in 2024 aimed at informing businesses about corporate tax regulations and obligations for eligible taxable entities. As the number of corporate tax registrants continues to increase, the Authority has intensified its efforts to ensure that businesses are well-informed and compliant.

Expansion of awareness events
In response to rising demand, FTA significantly expanded its corporate tax awareness initiatives, increasing the number of sponsored events to 70 in 2024, up from 49 in 2023. This represents a remarkable annual growth of 42.9 percent, reflecting the Authority’s dedication to supporting businesses in understanding their tax responsibilities.
Rising participant satisfaction
FTA also highlighted a surge in participant satisfaction, with 96 percent of attendees expressing approval of the content and informative nature of the awareness events in 2024. This satisfaction rate has improved from 94 percent in 2023, demonstrating the effectiveness of FTA’s initiatives in delivering valuable and relevant information to participants.
