UK Inflation data released on Wednesday morning by the British Statistics Office revealed that consumer prices rose above market expectations during the month of September.
And the consumer price index recorded a growth of 10.1 percent on an annual basis, which is greater than the market expectations of 10 percent. It is also higher than the previous reading of 9.9 percent in August.
As for core inflation, it recorded a growth of 6.5 percent in the same period, which is also higher than the market expectations of 6.4 percent, after the previous reading recorded a growth of 6.3 percent in August.
