VERSES AI Inc., a cognitive computing firm specializing in next-generation intelligent systems, has announced its first joint smart city project with Analog, an edge computing company that focuses on seamlessly connecting people, places, and objects using smart sensors and mixed reality technology. The project aims to simulate taxi fleet management in Abu Dhabi using the Genius platform, with the goal of optimizing fleet operations while reducing congestion and emissions.

Gabriel René, CEO of VERSES, expressed enthusiasm about initiating the first commercial project and partnership with Analog. He noted that Genius is particularly well-suited for smart cities with diverse stakeholders and varying systems for managing real-time sensor data. René further emphasized the aim to equip Analog with the tools needed to integrate data from multiple sources into a unified model, allowing Genius agents to continuously provide insights and recommendations. The goal is to enhance efficiency and achieve substantial cost savings for fleet operators.

Simplifying life through technology

Alex Kipman, founder and CEO of Analog, highlighted the alignment between Analog’s vision of AI-powered edge computing and VERSES’ goal of creating a smarter world. He expressed enthusiasm about using Genius to deliver business value, enhance human skills, and simplify daily life. Kipman also noted that this smart city project reflects Abu Dhabi’s dedication to advancing technology for societal benefit. He anticipates a series of smart city initiatives that will tackle issues in mobility, healthcare, energy, and other areas, aiming to foster a more connected and sustainable future.

Moreover, this pilot project marks the beginning of a series of commercial ventures that VERSES and Analog, both G42-funded companies, plan to develop together in Abu Dhabi. The expected revenue for VERSES from this project is approximately $3,000,000. Future initiatives in Abu Dhabi will leverage VERSES’ Genius platform to focus on key sectors such as smart mobility, healthcare, and energy, in collaboration with UAE industry stakeholders.
