Pham Minh Chinh, Prime Minister of Vietnam, visited the Museum of the Future for an exclusive tour. During his visit, he explored the architectural marvel and had the chance to experience its expansive exhibitions. Received by the Museum of the Future’s newly appointed executive director, Majed Al Mansoori, the Vietnamese Prime Minister was introduced to the museum’s visionary approach to shaping a better future for all humanity.

The tour provided Vietnam’s Prime Minister and his accompanying delegation with insights into the museum’s unique methods for showcasing cutting-edge technologies and sustainable solutions. The tour also highlighted the museum’s commitment to fostering innovation and creativity, in line with global efforts to tackle the challenges of tomorrow.
The visit further emphasized the museum’s dedication to attracting global thought leaders, innovators, futurists, and great minds from all around the world, reinforcing its role as a hub for forward-thinking ideas and transformative experiences.

UAE-Vietnam ties
Earlier in the day, Vietnam’s Prime Minister met with His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed underscored the importance of this visit as it reflects the longstanding ties the two countries have established since 1993. He also recognized Vietnam as the UAE’s largest trading partner among ASEAN countries.

CEPA agreement signed
During the meeting, Sheikh Mohammed witnessed the signing of a Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement with the Prime Minister of Vietnam. He added that Vietnam is one of the fastest-growing economies in Asia and highlighted the UAE’s pride in being their largest regional trade partner.
Notably, non-oil trade with Vietnam had seen a remarkable 38 percent increase between 2022 and 2023. In addition, UAE companies such as DP World, Mubadala and Borouge had made significant investments in Vietnam, with non-oil trade exceeding $12 billion in 2023.
The partnership agreement aims to facilitate access for UAE service providers across various sectors in Vietnam, including business and communications, engineering, financial services, healthcare, tourism, and transportation.
Non-oil trade between the two countries surpassed $6.06 billion in the first half of 2024, marking a 9 percent increase from the same period in 2023. Foreign trade is crucial to the UAE’s economic strategy, with non-oil trade reaching a record AED3.5 trillion in 2023. The comprehensive economic partnership with Vietnam will bolster the UAE’s efforts to achieve its 2031 non-oil trade target of AED4 trillion ($1.1 trillion).
