WGS, held in Dubai under the theme “Shaping Future Governments,” serves as a prominent global platform that brings together governments, leaders, and decision-makers to collaborate on shaping a collective future and improving communication between governments and their citizens. The summit focuses on the integration and collaboration of governments and prioritizes achieving prosperity.

Al Olama highlighted that the WGS 2024 plays a crucial role in addressing the world’s challenges and instilling optimism for their resolution. Additionally, he highlighted the summit’s anticipation of the rapid growth of the generative artificial intelligence sector on a global scale.

“The market is expected to grow by 33 percent in 2024, reaching around $20 billion by 2025,“ Al Olama said.

The Minister added, “Approximately 97 million people are expected to work in the field of artificial intelligence which underscore the importance for governments to recognise the potential of this transformative force. Understanding its capabilities is crucial for bringing about fundamental changes and adapt to its various trends to achieve the best possible utilisation of these technologies for the development of the digital economy.”

The World Government Summit 2024, which concludes today on February 14, 2024, encompasses over 120 interactive sessions and workshops, 15 forums, and features more than 200 speakers and 140 government delegations. The summit aims to envision the future of policymakers and governments by examining the latest global developments.
