The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) and Emirates Health Services (EHS) have formed a strategic partnership with AI71, a leading artificial intelligence organization established by Abu Dhabi’s Advanced Technology Research Council (ATRC) and VentureOne. During the World Governments Summit (WGS) 2024, Dr. Mohammed Salim Al Olama, Under-Secretary of MoHAP, Dr. Yousif Mohammed Al Serkal, Director-General of EHS, and Shahab Issa Abu Shahab, Director General of ATRC, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to mark the beginning of a new era in UAE healthcare. The partnership aims to introduce state-of-the-art AI-driven innovations by integrating AI71’s medical large language model (LLM), RAZI71, into the UAE’s healthcare infrastructure.

RAZI71, powered by Falcon LLM, a series of locally developed open-source AI models, is designed to revolutionize healthcare delivery by providing advanced care solutions that improve patient outcomes and empower healthcare professionals.

Advancing healthcare infrastructure

According to WAM, this collaboration reflects a significant advancement in enhancing and expanding the capabilities of the UAE’s healthcare infrastructure. It demonstrates a commitment to advancing proactive health management strategies, integrating advanced analytics, refining clinical decision support systems, and enhancing patient monitoring. The primary objective is to greatly improve patient care and the overall healthcare delivery system through the effective application of AI solutions.

AI71’s multi-sector impact

AI71’s impact spans across various sectors, including businesses, industries, and government entities. By partnering with MoHAP and EHS, AI71 takes a crucial step in realizing the UAE’s vision for an AI-empowered ecosystem. This partnership aims to incorporate intelligent infrastructure and enhance vital sectors with AI technologies, ensuring sustainable and long-term progress.

WGS 2024 united heads of state, government officials, and representatives from international organizations in Dubai. Over 4,000 individuals from both the public and private sectors took part in 110 engaging sessions, featuring 200 speakers from 85 global, regional, and intergovernmental organizations.
