Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (TAQA) is set to host the 4th World Utilities Congress in Abu Dhabi from May 27-29, 2025 at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi.
Innovating for a new age of utilities
This year’s congress revolves around the theme Innovating for a New Age of Utilities. The event is organized by dmg events in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure (MOEI), Abu Dhabi Department of Energy (DoE), Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi), and Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Company (ADNEC). The congress serves as a platform for global utilities sector leaders, policymakers, and innovators to tackle key challenges in the power and water sectors. As the industry progresses towards integrating renewable energy sources, enhancing grid resilience, and optimizing water management, the event will promote high-level discussions, showcase cutting-edge solutions, and facilitate strategic collaborations.
Commitment to sustainability and net-zero goals
His Excellency Suhail Mohamed Al Mazrouei, UAE minister of Energy and Infrastructure, highlighted the importance of the World Utilities Congress 2025, describing it as a valuable platform for global experts to unite and share insights on cutting-edge technologies and innovative solutions addressing sustainability challenges in the electricity and water sectors. This aligns with the Ministry’s commitment to supporting the UAE’s net-zero by 2050 target.
