Zero Government Bureaucracy Program: Sheikh Mohammed launches second phase to enhance efficiency in Dubai

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE, as well as Ruler of Dubai, announced the commencement of the second phase of the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ program, specifically aimed at eradicating digital bureaucracy.

In a post on his X account, Sheikh Mohammed stated: “Today, we launched the second phase of the ‘Zero Government Bureaucracy’ program, a national initiative designed to establish government services that are simpler, quicker, and more impactful.”

Reflecting on the successes of the first phase, the Vice-President remarked: “We reduced more than 70 percent of the time required for service delivery, eliminated over 4,000 unnecessary procedures, and saved customers more than 12 million hours in transportation and waiting time.”

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized: “We thank more than 30 government entities and 690 teams that played a vital role in streamlining and reducing government procedures. Today, we are building on our achievements and intensifying our efforts, particularly in the realm of eliminating digital bureaucracy. Our objective: a government free of complexity, services without delays, and outcomes that significantly enhance the lives of our citizens.”
