Inaugurated in 1977, Sharjah International Airport is one of the key airports serving the UAE and is the base of low-cost carrier Air Arabia. It has one runway and one passenger terminal as of September 2024. The 4,060m runway is one of the region’s longest and can accommodate all international aircraft up to the A380 with full load capacity during all weather conditions.
