Etihad Airways has announced its preliminary passenger figures for July 2024. The airline carried a strong 1.7 million passengers during the month, achieving an impressive 89 percent average load factor.
Antonoaldo Neves, Etihad Airways’ CEO, announced that their passenger numbers in July had surged by 33 percent compared to the same period last year, highlighting their ongoing strong growth.
He stated that year-to-date, they had served 10.4 million passengers, an increase of 2.8 million compared to the same period last year. He added that as of July 2024, their rolling 12-month passenger count stood at 16.8 million.
Neves attributed July’s load factor of 89 percent to their successful performance during a peak summer period, amidst significant capacity expansion since 2023.
He further mentioned that Etihad’s fleet had continued to grow, expanding to 93 aircraft from 78 in July 2023. He also noted that they now serve 10 more destinations than they did a year ago.
