Arab and Gulf leaders congratulated Qatar on the occasion of its celebration of the National Day, which coincides with the conclusion of the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Qatar National Day this year comes under the slogan “Our unity is the source of our strength”, and it is inspired by a speech by Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of the country, at the opening of the 50th session of the Shura Council.

Qatar witnesses many celebrations on this day, including this year the World Cup final celebrations, as well as many events, where fireworks are launched in all governorates, and various cultural shows that promote the Qatari heritage.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Saudi’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz sent a message of congratulations to Qatar’s Emir on the country’s National Day.
The Saudi King extended “best congratulations and sincere wishes for good health and happiness for the Qatari Emir, and for the government and people of the country for further progress and prosperity.”
Also, Morocco’s King, Mohammed VI, sent a telegram of congratulations to Qatar’s Emir on the occasion of his country’s National Day.
“The Moroccan people and I share with you the feelings of joy on this glorious occasion, which was given a special character of joy, pride, and glory by your country’s honorable hosting of the World Cup Finals,” the King’s telegram said.
For his part, the UAE President, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan said, “We congratulate Qatar, its Emir, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad, and its brotherly people on the National Day, and we ask God – the Almighty – to perpetuate their joys.”
“Qatar is in glory, elevation, and prosperity every year,” Sheikh Mohammed added.
“We congratulate Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the brotherly Qatari people on their glorious National Day, which coincides with the World Cup final,” said Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in a tweet on Twitter.
Sheikh Mohammed added, “We are proud of their organization of the best football World Cup… And we rejoice in their National Day and the country reaching such peaks.”
Similarly, the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and the UAE Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, congratulated Qatar on organizing the best edition of the FIFA World Cup in the history of the global sports event.
Moreover, Sheikh Ahmed Nawaf Al-Ahmad, Prime Minister of Kuwait, extended his congratulations to the Emir of Qatar, “on the occasion of the outstanding success of the World Cup (FIFA Qatar 2022) hosted by the sisterly State of Qatar during the period from November 20 to December 18, 2022.”
In addition, the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs tweeted “Sincere congratulations and best wishes to Qatar on the occasion of National Day.”
Also on Twitter, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) account also wrote, “Congratulations to Qatar’s leadership and people on the occasion of Qatari National Day.”
