Cityscape Global 2024 returns to Riyadh in November, explores sustainable development, smart cities, and mega projects

Tahaluf, the Saudi event organizer, has announced plans for the second edition of Cityscape Global, the region’s premier real estate event. The event is set to be the largest in the international series’ history, according to a press release. 

A hub for collaboration, knowledge exchange

Under the theme “The Future of Living,” Cityscape Global 2024 will be a hub for international collaboration and knowledge exchange, focusing on developing sustainable and future-proof cities. Additionally, the event will take place from November 11-14 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center, Malham,

Minister of Municipalities and Housing Majed bin Abdullah Al-Hogail stated that Saudi Arabia’s real estate landscape is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by the ambitious goals of Vision 2030. He emphasized that the comprehensive strategy for the real estate sector aims to achieve the vision’s objectives by building a robust and prosperous economy, as well as vibrant and integrated communities.

Focus on B2B and investment

This year’s event, sponsored by the Saudi Ministry of Municipalities and Housing, supported by the General Real Estate Authority and Housing Program, and organized by Tahaluf, will feature a heightened B2B and investment focus. Moreover, with over 400 exhibitors, 500 speakers, and seven conferences, Cityscape Global 2024 will be the largest property showcase of its kind globally. 

New additions to the event include dedicated sectors for Stadiums and Attractions, Sustainable Smart Buildings, Smart Hotels, and Developers, alongside a strong emphasis on Smart Cities throughout the event, with a dedicated conference and tech zone.

Faisal bin Saud Al-Khamisi, chairman of the Board of Directors at the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones (SAFCSP), emphasized that the event aligns with Vision 2030’s goals for the housing sector. He further stated that their aim is to attract investors, developers, innovators, and stakeholders from around the world to showcase their projects, exchange knowledge, establish partnerships, and collaborate in building the cities of tomorrow.

Building sustainable and livable cities

Cityscape Global 2024 will also feature a dedicated investor program and tailored networking opportunities, showcasing intelligent infrastructure, technology-driven solutions, and data-driven planning needed to create efficient, sustainable, and livable urban environments. 

The event will also shine a spotlight on Saudi Arabia’s sports infrastructure development, highlighting the eight newly announced stadiums and featuring a special segment dedicated to stadiums and mega events, SPA reported.

A look back at Cityscape Global 2023

Last year’s event, held in the Kingdom, attracted over 300 exhibitors, 55 percent of which were international, in addition to 160,000 visitors from over 170 countries and more than 10,000 international investors. The event also saw the unveiling of $18.3 billion in Saudi-based real estate projects, earning praise from Lord Alan Sugar, the U.K. entrepreneur and host of the BBC’s The Apprentice, who said, “I was amazed by the vision, scale, and significance of the projects being undertaken in Saudi Arabia. It is inspiring.”

Furthermore, Cityscape Global is organized by Tahaluf, a strategic alliance between Informa PLC, SAFCSP, and the Events Investment Fund (EIF).
