Government agencies in Saudi Arabia participated in “Digital Saudi” which was organized in Riyadh by Digital Government Authority within LEAP Conference from February 1-3, 2022.

the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology organized the global technical event in order to introduce the global, regional and local audience to the success stories of Saudi Arabia’s digital transformation journey.

The event featured the most prominent experiences, numbers, and services of digital government platforms, with international participation from the Republic of Estonia and the Sultanate of Oman.

The Digital Saudi Exhibition took place on Tuesday, February 1, 2022.

By organizing the exhibition, the Digital Government Authority aims to review the digital government process through the services provided by the Authority to government agencies, in addition to the digital transformation projects provided by these agencies to all beneficiaries.

The Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Ahmed Al-Suwayan, stated that the Authority worked through the exhibition to highlight the efforts made to develop the digital government which aim to enhance the quality of life, competitiveness, and sustainability.

In addition, it highlights the Saudi achievements made during the past period, including when KSA ranked second in the digital competitiveness report issued by the European Center for Digital Competitiveness of the G20 Countries.

On day 1, His Excellency pointed out that “Digital Saudi Arabia” will witness the signing of strategic agreements and launch of 15 new digital government products and services for more than 30 government agencies, in addition to the Digital Government Authority. Leading technology companies would help accelerate digital transformation and leverage efficiency.

The government participation includes reviewing the services of about 15 of the whole government platforms and 10 products based on innovative models using emerging technologies.

The Governor added that “Digital Saudi Exhibition” is a favorable opportunity for all beneficiaries to learn about digital government services and how to benefit from them.

He noted what those agencies have worked on in order to improve the quality of life through 6000 digital services with a maturity level of more than 83%.

Also on Day 2, the “Digital Saudi” Pavilion hosted the launch of a number of digital government services.

The Ministry of Tourism launched the digital tourism strategy; The National Center for Government Resources Systems launched the e-contracting service, and the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology signed three memoranda of cooperation with the Saudi Information Technology Company (SITE), Masna Company, and the Global Data Center Company.
