Saudi Arabia boasts many historical and cultural gems. But Diriyah is a legacy that continues to resonate. It’s a unique destination that combines cultural and historical experiences with the modern pleasures of fine dining, nature, and Luxury.
Imagine a city where every step blends the past with the present. Once complete, Diriyah will be home to nearly 100,000 residents. Only a 15-minute drive from the capital of Riyadh, it is one of the country’s premier destinations. After all, it’s the birthplace of Saudi Arabia, with a history dating from 1727. It’s also home to the UNESCO World Heritage Site, At-Turaif.
Diriyah Company, part of the Public Investment Fund’s (PIF) portfolio of giga-projects, is responsible for developing Diriyah. The objective is to build a vibrant and dynamic city of tomorrow, The City of Earth, while embracing its centuries old authentic Najdi-style architectural heritage.
Creating a place to live, work and play for tens of thousands of residents and playing a major role in Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 goals to diversify the kingdom’s economy. At last year’s Cityscape Global held in Riyadh, the world’s most influential real estate event, Diriyah Company leveraged this prestigious platform to announce major projects. Cityscape Global is set to return to Riyadh Exhibition & Convention Centre (Malham), Saudi Arabia, from 17 – 20 November 2025.

New luxury residential developments
During last year’s Cityscape Global, Diriyah Company and Raffles Hotels & Resorts announced their first-ever residential partnership — the Raffles Residences Diriyah. This will feature 90 luxury apartments and townhouses. The development will have one-, two- or three-bedroom residences and seven spacious duplex homes.
Apart from the property itself, residents will enjoy access to the amenities and facilities of the yet-to-be-opened Raffles Diriyah Hotel. Located in Diriyah South, Raffles Residences Diriyah will not only be steps away from At-Turaif but will also be close to the escarpment walk overlooking the sublime natural landscape of Wadi Hanifah.
Apart from this partnership with Raffles, Diriyah Company also announced the launch of The Ritz-Carlton Signature Collection Diriyah at last year’s Cityscape Global. It will have 59 new luxury apartments and villas, and residents will have access to the amenities at the co-located hotel, The Ritz-Carlton, Diriyah.
The amenities include fine-dining restaurants, a state-of-the-art gym, and a luxurious spa. This new project builds on the overwhelming, sold-out success of the initial 106 Ritz-Carlton Residences.
Both The Ritz-Carlton Signature Collection Diriyah and Raffles Residences Diriyah are part of Diriyah Company’s comprehensive residential strategy, whose goal is to create unparalleled living opportunities for approximately 100,000 future residents.
They are among the many luxurious living opportunities on offer with a host of other residences set for Diriyah and Wadi Safar. These include Armani Residences Diriyah, Baccarat Residences Diriyah, Corinthia Residences Diriyah, and Aman Wadi Safar Residences.
Armani Residences Diriyah, which marks a first-of-its-kind collaboration in the kingdom, will feature 15 homes featuring interiors exquisitely curated by Giorgio Armani himself, with the meticulously furnished interiors showcasing exceptional Italian craftsmanship.
Opposite the planned prestigious 86-room Baccarat Hotel Diriyah, the Baccarat Residences will comprise nine bespoke, private homes, each designed with a refined French influence. Diriyah Square will be home to the Corinthia Residences Diriyah with its curated collection of 10 highly exclusive, fully furnished homes.
Aman Wadi Safar Residences will feature 34 fully serviced Aman-branded residences, drawing inspiration from the uniquely beautiful natural environment of Wadi Safar’s landscape.
“At Diriyah, the City of Earth, we are creating a human-centric living experience for approximately 100,000 residents. With a focus on enhancing quality of life, our residential strategy celebrates culture and heritage, offering homes inspired by the timeless elegance of traditional Najdi architecture,” Jerry Inzerillo, group CEO of Diriyah Company, notes.
“From exceptional branded residences created in partnership with world-class hotel brands to family homes nestled within vibrant, walkable communities, Diriyah embodies a lifestyle where living, working, and playing seamlessly converge,” he adds.
Sustainability is a priority
Diriyah Company has rapidly become a major name in Saudi Arabia’s property boom. A dynamic mixed-use developer, it also focuses on forging long-term partnerships with other key industry players, including the abovementioned Raffles and The Ritz-Carlton. As part of its mission to redefine urban planning, Diriyah Company is fully committed to the principles of sustainable construction.
Cityscape Global is an international platform for showcasing the cutting-edge of sustainable construction, recognized Diriyah Company, which received two prestigious Mostadam (Ajwad) certifications for sustainability from the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing.
The developments recognized are for Diriyah North and The Ritz-Carlton Residences. In support of Saudi Arabia’s Quality of Life Program and Vision 2030, the Mostadam initiative evaluates projects on sustainability metrics such as green spaces, pedestrian pathways, and efficient water use.
Diriyah North received a Diamond Level Masterplan certification, which is the highest level of Mostadam certification. The development boasts notable sustainability achievements, including meeting 100 percent of irrigation demand through treated sewage water, providing 46 percent shaded walkways, and dedicating 25 percent of the area to parks and open spaces.
“The Diriyah project is fully committed to sustainability. These accreditations are a significant endorsement of our dedication to employing the highest standards of environmental protection in construction and design, enabling us to deliver a brand-new concept in urban development with a unique people-first urban regeneration project for everyone to enjoy,” Inzerillo says.
These new milestones further solidify Diriyah’s leading role in Saudi Arabia’s sustainable real estate and tourism narrative. Back in 2023, Diriyah received LEED Platinum certification for the first phase of the Diriyah Masterplan.

A renaissance
As the birthplace of Saudi Arabia, Diriyah holds a unique and cherished place in the nation’s rich history. Fast forward to today, Diriyah is experiencing a renaissance, as it is transformed into an eco-friendly urban development spanning 14 square kilometers.
