The 14th Dubai Globe Soccer Awards was recently held to recognize the achievements of global football players, coaches, and management. Organized as part of the 18th Dubai International Sports Conference, among the notable figures who were honored by H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, chairman of the Dubai Sports Council, include Erling Haaland, Cristiano Ronaldo and Pep Guardiola.

The ceremony celebrated outstanding achievements across the globe, showcasing the diversity and depth of talent within the football community. Some of the biggest winners include Manchester City‘s dynamic striker, Erling Haaland, who was named the Best Player, affirming his outstanding contributions to the sport. Meanwhile, Jude Bellingham, the star of Real Madrid and the English national team, received the Power Horse Emerging Player award. The 14th Dubai Globe Soccer Awards also awarded Aitana Bonmati the standout player from FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team the Best Women’s Player award.
Additionally, the Egyptian club, Al Ahly, received the title of Best Middle East Club. Notably, Cristiano Ronaldo, of Al Nassr and the Portuguese national team, received the awards for Best Middle East Player and Globe Soccer Maradona Award for Top Goal Scorer in 2023. Moreover, Pep Guardiola, the Spanish coach of Manchester City, was crowned Best Coach.
Call for ethical excellence
H.H. Sheikh Mansoor emphasized the importance of promoting high ethical benchmarks in sports. Moreover, he urged the winners to leverage their influence and recognition to set exemplary standards for their teams and followers. He highlighted the pivotal role sports players play in shaping the values that define the industry and beyond.
Digital Awards
The 14th Dubai Globe Soccer Awards started with the presentation of the Dubai Globe Soccer Digital Awards. Asgari_freestyle received the award for Best Video Creator. Meanwhile, Msdossary7 received the Best eSports Player award, and Fabrizio Romano received the Best Digital Journalist award. Moreover, the awards recognized Alnoufali_7 as the Best Social Media Influencer.
Notably, the Best Middle East Media Company award went to Saudi Media Company while Egypt’s ZED FC was named Best Middle East Academy.
Sustainability takes center stage
The theme for this year’s Dubai International Sports Conference was ‘Sustainability and Performance in Football.’ It marked a significant shift towards environmental awareness. The conference, alongside the 14th Dubai Globe Soccer Awards, adhered to sustainability standards, utilizing eco-friendly practices, and electronic invitations. The session highlighted the increasing role of women in football, showcasing their prominent positions and responsibilities in club and federation management. Ornella Belia, FIFA’s Director of Professional Football Development, and Greta Nardici, AC Milan’s Regional Director in the Middle East and North Africa participated in the session, exemplifying the growing influence of women in professional football.
