Global air and travel services provider Dubai National Air Travel Agency (dnata) has secured a multi-year agreement to deliver high-quality inflight catering services for T’way Air at Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) in Italy.

dnata’s expert teams will prepare and supply over 80,000 meals each year, ensuring an exceptional dining experience for passengers on the South Korean airline’s newly launched routes between Rome and Incheon (ICN). T’way Air will operate three weekly flights connecting the Italian capital with South Korea.

Nicola Citarella, CEO of dnata Catering & Retail Italy, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating that they are thrilled to welcome T’way Air to Rome and appreciate the airline’s confidence in dnata’s services. He further emphasized that this collaboration reflects the dedication and hard work of their teams in delivering top-tier services and expressed anticipation for a long and fruitful partnership ahead.

Expanding presence in Italy

With the addition of T’way Air, dnata caters to 37 airline customers across 11 airports in Italy, supported by a workforce of over 880 hospitality experts. In the 2023-24 financial year, dnata Catering & Retail teams provided over 12 million meals for more than 140,000 flights within the country.

T’way Air’s growing European operations

Moreover, T’way Air, a prominent low-cost carrier based in South Korea, is rapidly expanding its operations throughout Europe. In addition to Rome, the airline has recently launched flights to Barcelona, Frankfurt, and Paris, with plans to further improve air connectivity between Europe and South Korea.
