Etihad Airways has revealed an enhancement to its European flight network. Starting from October 1, 2025, the airline will introduce daily flights to both Düsseldorf, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, further boosting links between the UAE and these key European cities.
The Düsseldorf route will experience a significant boost as it transitions from its current schedule to daily service. This expansion includes the addition of four weekly flights, offering travelers increased flexibility and better connectivity. Furthermore, Düsseldorf will now enjoy year-round service, ensuring reliable travel options throughout the seasons.
In a similar vein, the Copenhagen route will upgrade from its existing four-times-weekly service to daily flights. This adjustment introduces three additional weekly flights to the Danish capital, enhancing Etihad’s footprint in Scandinavia.

Arik De, chief revenue and commercial officer of Etihad Airways, expressed that the transition to daily flights for Düsseldorf and Copenhagen signifies an exciting phase in the airline’s European growth. He emphasized that this move underscores their dedication to providing exceptional connectivity between Abu Dhabi and major European hubs. He further noted that with these increased frequencies, they can offer guests enhanced flexibility and improved connections across their global network. He also mentioned that as they continue to expand, they remain committed to delivering their award-winning service and hospitality on these routes, ensuring that every journey with Etihad is outstanding.
Rising traveler numbers
Moreover, Etihad Airways has witnessed significant growth as the summer holiday season wrapped up, welcoming 1.6 million travelers in September 2024, up from 1.2 million in the same month of the previous year. In its latest announcement, the airline reported a remarkable average passenger load factor of 88 percent, reflecting a 1 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
