The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia has clarified the Saudi Arabia final exit visa requirements, stating that a resident’s ID must have a minimum validity of 30 days when applying for a final exit visa. Employers and heads of households are reminded that if a resident’s ID is valid for fewer than 30 days, the issuance of a final exit visa will not be possible, and renewal of the ID is necessary to proceed with the exit visa application.
The directorate also stated that if a resident’s ID is valid for more than 30 days but less than 60 days, a final exit visa can be issued, with its duration corresponding to the remaining validity of the resident’s ID. Furthermore, if the validity of a resident’s ID is 60 days or longer, a final exit visa can still be granted, although its duration will be capped at 60 days.
Additionally, it was noted that employers and heads of households have the capability to issue final exit visas for their sponsored individuals and their family members via the Ministry of Interior’s electronic platforms, Absher and the Muqeem Portal. This service is provided at no cost and can be completed without any associated fees.
