Saudi-based low-cost airline flynas has announced the launch of direct flights between Riyadh and Damascus starting June 5, adding the Syrian capital to its expanding network. This initiative is part of the company’s regional expansion strategy, aimed at meeting traveler needs and enhancing air connectivity between Saudi Arabia and neighboring countries, aligning with national objectives in the aviation sector.
Adding Damascus to flynas’s network marks a significant step in its growth plan, titled “We Connect the World to the Kingdom,” according to a statement. This supports the National Civil Aviation Strategy, which aims for national carriers to connect Saudi Arabia with 250 international destinations, accommodate 330 million passengers, and host 150 million tourists annually by 2030.
