The Saudi Central Bank’s (SAMA) net foreign reserves increased by about 3 percent month on month in June, reaching 1.683 trillion riyals. While it grew by 1 percent year on year, the foreign reserve recorded its highest level since the fourth quarter of 2020.

According to the SAMA‘s monthly report, combined bank profits increased by 31.5 percent in the first six months of 2022, reaching approximately 33 billion riyals.

Bank credit grew by about 15 percent year on year, and about 2.2 percent on a monthly basis, surpassing 2.2 trillion riyals for the first time.

Deposits in Saudi banks increased by 2.5 percent month on month and by 10 percent year on year to reach 2.232 trillion riyals.
