The spotlight shone brightly on the Huawei Pura 80 Series, Huawei’s flagship in mobile imaging, which impressed with its cutting-edge design and powerful camera capabilities.
The Pura 80 Pro and Pura 80 Ultra both feature a 1-inch Ultra Lighting HDR camera and an Ultra Chroma Camera with pixel-level color calibration, delivering exceptional image clarity and true-to-life color accuracy.
A standout innovation is the Switchable Dual Telephoto Camera on the Pura 80 Ultra — a first in the industry — offering users versatile zoom capabilities and high-quality imaging across distances.
Inspired by the harmony of eastern and western aesthetics, the Pura 80 Series showcases a unique glazed texture design, combining craftsmanship with elegant hues reminiscent of monochrome glaze.
Huawei MatePad 11.5: Designed for learners and creators
Also introduced was the Huawei MatePad 11.5, aimed at students and young professionals seeking a blend of power, portability, and visual comfort. It features an expansive 11.5-inch FullView Display with 2.5K resolution and PaperMatte technology, designed to mimic natural light and reduce eye strain.
Housed in a slim 6.1 mm body, the MatePad 11.5 includes a 10,100 mAh battery, making it ideal for long study or work sessions.
The device supports the third-generation Huawei M-Pencil with magnetic wireless charging and comes with updated apps like Huawei Notes and the GoPaint app, offering tools for creativity, productivity, and entertainment.

XMAGE Awards 2025: Global creativity takes center stage
Huawei also formally announced the XMAGE Awards 2025, which opened for global submissions on June 11. Now in its eighth year, the awards have grown into one of the world’s most prominent mobile photography competitions, offering a platform for Huawei users worldwide to showcase their creativity.
This year’s competition includes eight categories: So Far So Close, Colour & Shade, Good Night, Faces, A Heartwarming World, Experimental Lab, Storyboard, and Action. A new element, XMAGE 100, has been introduced, along with a more diverse and esteemed judging panel. Submissions will be evaluated on multiple dimensions, including technical skill, emotional depth, artistic expression, and social impact.

Return to Grand Palais at Paris Photo 2025
Highlighting its global cultural engagement, Huawei confirmed that the XMAGE Awards 2025 Ceremony and Annual Exhibition titled “The World, You and Me” will be held at the Grand Palais in Paris during Paris Photo 2025. The prestigious venue will once again become a stage for celebrating global creativity and mobile photography.
At the Dubai event, Huawei illustrated its vision for a more connected and visually enriched future through the seamless integration of advanced technology into daily life.
