The app serves as a central companion across Meta devices, ensuring uninterrupted user experiences.

Meta has announced the roll-out of the Meta AI app—a dedicated platform designed to keep track of and multi-task across a range of daily AI interactions, all in one location. Starting in the U.S., with updates to follow globally, this initiative marks the first step in offering users a more social, intuitive, and personalized AI experience that reflects their unique world and experiences. The new app will bring AI interactions to the forefront, making them easy to track, control, and manage within a single interface, according to a statement.

Accessibility in the MENA region

In the MENA region, users will be able to find and download the Meta AI app for free on App Stores for both iOS and Android devices. Upon opening the app, users will be greeted by a Meta AI chat homepage, where they can interact with their AI assistant and navigate through additional tabs across the app.

Discover tab

The Discover Tab serves as a social feed where users can share and explore how others are utilizing AI. This feature allows individuals to see popular prompts shared by others and remix them to create their unique variations.

History tab

The History Tab stores past conversations and prompts used with Meta AI, enabling users to pick up right where they left off. This functionality ensures that users can revisit previous interactions easily.

Devices tab

The Devices Tab is dedicated to managing additional Meta AI devices, such as the Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses. Here, users can manage their image gallery and device settings seamlessly.

Features launching in the U.S.

In addition, here’s a look at the features launching in the U.S. from today, with plans to introduce these capabilities to more markets globally over time. Note that these features will not be available in MENA at launch.

AI built for conversation

The Meta AI app will include an enhanced voice function that facilitates back-and-forth conversations. Initially available as a demo, full-duplex speech technology will allow users to experience natural voice interactions, resembling a telephone conversation—a glimpse into the future of AI experiences.

Social AI discovery

The Meta AI app will introduce a new ‘Discovery’ feed, enabling users to share and explore how others are using AI. This feature will showcase the best prompts shared by the community, allowing users to remix them and make them their own.

A personalised experience

Powered by Llama 4, the Meta AI app in the U.S. and Canada will include memory and personalization features that make AI interactions more tailored to individual users. Users can instruct Meta AI to remember specific preferences, such as a love for travel or language learning, resulting in responses and recommendations that align with their interests.

A cross-platform companion

The Meta AI app will function as a central companion for interactions across Ray-Ban Meta Smart Glasses and Meta.ai on the web. When logged into a Meta Account, the History Tab allows users to seamlessly transition from their AI glasses to the Meta AI app and the web, ensuring an uninterrupted experience.

Controls tailored to you

Recognizing that everyone interacts with AI differently, the app will feature controls that allow users to switch between voice and text easily. Additionally, users can select their preferred voices and functions, enabling them to tailor their experience to suit their environment.
