Egypt, Saudi economy and planning ministers discuss cooperation

H.E. Dr. Hala El-Said, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, met with Faisal Al-Ibrahim, Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, to discuss ways of cooperation between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of her participation in the activities of the 53rd annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos. At this meeting, 52 presidents, several ministers, and CEOs are expected to participate.

The 2023 WEF’s focus is on solutions and cooperation between the public and private sectors to address the most urgent needs in the world.

During the meeting, Dr. Hala El-Said stressed that the strong economic relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia confirm the depth of those relations and the deep cooperation between the two countries, which is witnessing continuous interaction and growth.

El-Said indicated the Egyptian state’s keenness to consolidate relations between the two countries in various fields.

The two sides also discussed the importance of exchanging successful Egyptian-Saudi expertise in several fields, as well as cooperation between the two countries at the level of public policies and visions regarding global economic conditions.
