The Royal Commission for Riyadh City has officially launched the Qasr Al Hokm Station, an essential part of the Riyadh Metro network, which consists of four primary stations. This station acts as a crucial junction, linking the blue and orange metro lines with the bus network. It also serves a variety of administrative buildings, palaces, historical squares, and markets, along with shopping centers, tourist attractions, and the residents of the Qasr Al Hokm area, situated in the heart of Riyadh.
Unique design blending tradition and modernity
Qasr Al Hokm Station boasts a design that harmoniously combines traditional and modern elements, drawing inspiration from the principles of Salmani architecture. The station features a striking steel curtain that visually integrates the different levels with the surrounding environment, allowing natural light to illuminate the interiors while providing shade to the adjacent open spaces.

The infrastructure includes 17 elevators, 46 escalators, a variety of shops, services, public facilities, and an array of artistic sculptures and displays.

Operating license granted by TGA
On Tuesday, the Transport General Authority (TGA) issued the operating license for Qasr Al Hokm Station after the Riyadh Metro operating company, Flow Consortium, fulfilled all regulatory requirements. This signifies further advancement in the phased operation of Riyadh Metro stations, strengthening the city’s public transportation framework.
Key hub on the Orange Line
Moreover, positioned on the Orange Line, which extends 41 kilometers and connects the eastern and western regions of Riyadh—from Jeddah Road in the west to the Second Eastern Ring Road near Khashm Al-Aan in the east—Qasr Al Hokm Station serves as a pivotal hub within the metro network. The architectural design of the station further embodies the heritage and historical essence of the Qasr Al Hokm area.

Commitment to safety and quality
The TGA confirmed that the license was granted following the fulfillment of all operational standards, underscoring its commitment to ensuring that the Riyadh Metro operates with the utmost safety and quality. The license also mandates that operators maintain premier efficiency, thereby enhancing the public transportation experience and delivering advanced services that cater to the needs of Riyadh’s residents and visitors.
