Qatar’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) has announced the introduction of two AI-powered virtual assistants as part of its ongoing initiatives to boost digital transformation and enhance the quality of government services offered to the public.
The unveiling of these two services—Smart Assistant and Saif—took place during a press conference organized by the Ministry in collaboration with Microsoft. The Smart Assistant is accessible via the Single Window platform, while Saif has been launched as a virtual assistant on the Ministry’s official website, aiming to provide a seamless and integrated user experience for various beneficiary categories, QNA reported.
During his address at the conference, Mubarak Al Khulaifi, Director of MOCI’s Single Window Department, stated that the Smart Assistant service is designed to streamline processes and accelerate the completion of transactions by offering immediate responses to user inquiries and guiding them through each step of their transactions on the Single Window platform, all without the need for direct interaction with a staff member. He highlighted that the service operates 24/7, thereby enhancing efficiency and service continuity.
