Amir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, arrived in Riyadh today to participate in the GCC-U.S. Summit. He was welcomed at King Khalid International Airport by Deputy Governor of the Riyadh Region, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz, along with several other officials, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
The summit will bring together leaders from the Gulf Cooperation Council and U.S. President Donald Trump. It is part of President Trump’s regional tour, which also includes a visit to the UAE, aiming to enhance Gulf cooperation and deepen the strategic partnership with the U.S. This focus includes shared interests in regional security, stability, and sustainable development.
Key objectives of the summit include strengthening security cooperation by addressing ongoing challenges in the region. Leaders are expected to discuss collaborative efforts to enhance defense capabilities and improve intelligence sharing among GCC countries and the U.S.
