Red Sea Global (RSG) has successfully received the operating license for its water airport on Ummahat Island at The Red Sea destination.
This marks a pivotal moment in the Kingdom’s aviation sector. It is a testament to RSG’s commitment to responsible development and its mission to transform tourism in the region.

This license, the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, is a testament to RSG’s commitment to setting new standards in regenerative tourism.
The water airport, nestled on Ummahat Island, represents a fusion of aviation and the marine environment. Designed to offer a unique and enchanting experience, the airport will provide a seamless experience for visitors arriving at the Red Sea International Airport. Therefore, passengers will have the opportunity to savor the breathtaking views of The Red Sea’s pristine waters during their journey.
“Earlier this month we revealed to the world the Kingdom’s first seaplane company, Fly Red Sea. Now, with this license, we are ready to transport guests across crystal-clear waters to The Red Sea’s island resorts,” said John Pagano, RSG’s group CEO.
The operating license was formally handed over by the President of the General Authority for Civil Aviation (GACA), to CEO John Pagano. In addition to the operating license, RSG was given a license to provide security operation services.
