Saudi Arabia’s Qiddiya Investment Co. has revealed plans to build the largest water theme park in the region as part of its Six Flags Qiddiya City project.
The park, named Aquarabia, aims to attract visitors from across the globe with its 22 attractions and water experiences suitable for the whole family.
Aquarabia will also introduce several attractions, including the world’s first double water loop, the tallest water coaster with the highest jump, the longest and highest water racing track, and the tallest water slide, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

In addition to these rides, Aquarabia will offer an underwater adventure trip using diving vehicles, catering to adventure enthusiasts. The park will feature designated water sports areas for activities such as rafting, kayaking, canoeing, free solo climbing, and cliff jumping. Moreover, it will boast the Kingdom’s first surfing pool, incorporating immersive design elements inspired by ancient desert water springs and Qiddiya’s wildlife.

Commitment to environmental responsibility
Aquarabia is committed to sustainability and will implement advanced systems to significantly reduce water waste by up to 90 percent and minimize energy consumption. As part of the Six Flags Qiddiya project, which aims to be the first of its kind outside North America, the venture plans to recycle more than 80 percent of operational waste, diverting it from landfills.
Both Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City are set to open in 2025 within Qiddiya City, forming a fully walkable neighborhood that offers a diverse array of activities, accommodations, dining options, and relaxation spots.
Driving economic diversification, job creation
Abdullah Al-Dawood, managing director of Qiddiya Investment Co., hailed the announcement as a significant milestone for Qiddiya and the entertainment, tourism, and sports sectors in Saudi Arabia. He highlighted that these projects will cater to diverse entertainment needs while simultaneously contributing to economic diversification and job creation in the tourism sector. The development of Aquarabia and Six Flags Qiddiya City aligns with the goals of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which aims to enhance local tourism and create more employment opportunities.
The unveiling of Aquarabia follows the announcement of several other entertainment, sports, and cultural attractions in Qiddiya, including the world’s first multi-use gaming and electronic sports area, the multi-sport Prince Mohammed bin Salman Stadium, and the Dragon Ball amusement park.
