The ministry has urged employers to adjust working hours in accordance with this mandate, which aims to ensure a safe work environment, enhance occupational safety measures, and mitigate the risk of heat-related injuries and illnesses. This decision is anticipated to positively impact overall productivity.
To facilitate compliance, the ministry has published the Procedural Guide for Occupational Safety and Health to Prevent the Effects of Exposure to Sunlight and the Advisory Guide for Working in Hot Environments on its website, providing employers with essential guidelines.
Violations of the midday work ban can be reported via the ministry’s unified hotline at 19911 or through its mobile application.
