Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Tourism, Ahmed Al-Khateeb, has announced the launch of TOURISE, the world’s premier platform designed to redefine the future of the global tourism industry. This initiative aims to unite leaders from both public and private sectors. Scheduled for November 11 to 13 in Riyadh, TOURISE 2025 will gather tourism experts and investors from across the globe to develop innovative visions that promote sustainable growth within the tourism sector, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

Al-Khateeb highlighted that the tourism industry has emerged as one of the most interconnected and dynamic sectors of the global economy. It requires adaptation to worldwide developments by embracing technological advancements, meeting the evolving expectations of tourists, and responding to the pressing demand for sustainability and inclusivity.

The summit presents a valuable opportunity for collaboration among innovators from various sectors, with the minister underscoring TOURISE’s ability to reimagine the future of tourism. This platform will engage visionaries, innovators, and other professionals from diverse fields to devise creative solutions to the challenges the sector faces. It will offer exceptional opportunities for building strategic relationships.

Recognizing excellence in tourism

Additionally, the platform will introduce the TOURISE 2025 Awards, which will recognize outstanding achievements in destinations and organizations across several critical areas: sustainability, digital transformation, heritage preservation, and human capacity development. Nominations will be accepted through the TOURISE Awards online portal, with winners to be announced during an official ceremony at the event.

Activities will extend throughout the year via digital collaboration with specialized working groups and multi-sector partnerships, which will further enhance the program’s sustainable impact. This initiative further reflects Saudi Arabia’s increasing role in shaping the future of global tourism, having welcomed approximately 30 million international tourists in 2024, with the sector contributing 5 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP).
